ZIPPER FASHION SHOW MAKES THE NEWS AT SNYDERMAN-WORKS GALLERIES IN MAY.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary (1913-2013) of the patenting of the zipper, Ruth and Rick Snyderman, in collaboration with 10 Old City fashion design boutiques, and a range of area gourmet chefs and restaurants, organized a lively runway show highlighting zipper jewelery by New York-based designer Kate Cusack, accompanied by outfits and accessories featuring the zipper. Covered by ABC-TV, the beautiful young models strutted to the lively beat of Adub, a late night club DJ favorite in Philadelphia.
The event was created as part of Old City's expansion of it's well-known First Friday Gallery walks to the new FIRST FRIDAY WEEKEND, where free concerts, lectures and performance events will be scheduled all weekend in conjunction with the gallery walk on the night of First Friday.
