PAT BOYER : STATEMENT - PRIMAL RHYTHM

First, I get out of my way. Then, pick up a brush or a stick of graphite and record the beat inside my body onto thick, heavy paper or a panel on the wall. These markings are like nerve endings pulsating with my heartbeat. There’s no telling what might happen when this archeological site is tapped. There is a tension between being in touch with this inner beat and our daily lives, given the expectations of the world and the nature of our culture. What I must do is stay with it.
